No agency layers. Just the person building your product.
A small, founder-led studio in Pokhara making software the old-fashioned way — with craft, care, and conviction.
App Sansar started in 2022, in a small room in Pokhara, with a laptop, a whiteboard, and an unreasonable belief that great software could be built from Nepal. Not outsourced work. Not body shops. Real products, built by a real team, for real users.
The Nepalese tech scene has long been defined by service-based work — agencies writing code for someone else's vision. We wanted something different. We wanted to build our own products, partner with startups who care about craft, and prove that a product company from Nepal could compete on quality, not just cost.
Our first client project was a website for Lakecity Printers, right here in Pokhara. It wasn't glamorous, but it taught us everything about shipping — deadlines, iteration, feedback, late-night fixes. That led to Lofa Pokhara, and to Finly, a personal finance app we're building as our own product.
Today, it's still a small, founder-led team. No account managers, no handoffs — the person who scopes your project is the person who builds it. We're still in Pokhara. The whiteboard is still there. And we're still building.
Mission
Product craft, every time.
We exist to build software that works, lasts, and feels right. Every project gets the same level of care — whether it's an MVP for a first-time founder or a platform for an established business. No shortcuts, no technical debt we don't plan to pay down.
Vision
Nepalese products, global stage.
We want to change what it means to build software from Nepal. Our vision is a thriving ecosystem of Nepalese product companies serving clients worldwide — not as a low-cost alternative, but as a destination for quality, craftsmanship, and long-term partnership.
What we stand for
Four principles that guide every decision we make.
01
Craft
We take pride in the details. Every interface, every line of code, every decision is made with intention. Good enough is never enough.
02
Ownership
We think like founders, not contractors. Every team member owns their work end-to-end, from concept to deployment and beyond.
03
Transparency
No black boxes. Clients see our progress in real time. We share our failures as openly as our wins, because trust is built in the open.
04
Long-term thinking
We build for permanence. Technology choices, architectural decisions, and client relationships — all made with the next decade in mind.
